Have you tried Google's Deep Dive Podcast AI tool yet? It's truly remarkable! Deep Dive is integrated within Google's NotebookLM, allowing you to summarize various file types like website URLs and PDFs. You can then transform this content into a Deep Dive Podcast featuring male and female AI voices that sound incredibly lifelike, complete with human-like inflections.

I recently created a 5-minute Deep Dive Podcast using my LinkedIn profile and resume as input. Listening to it made me blush - the AI voices artfully highlighted my career achievements and reflected my career theme (i.e., always learning, adapting, and seeking new challenges).

I'm unable to attach the WAV file to this blog as Wix does not support WAV audio players in a blog, but you can listen to it by going to the Resume section of my website.

Forbes has a helpful how-to article on creating AI podcasts using NotebookLM.

Okay, so today we're diving deep into like the career of Mary Bush and her LinkedIn and resume seriously They're like a master class in career flexibility. Oh, absolutely We're talking big-time food brands and then out of nowhere Paper crafts, you know, what gets me is how she's gone from b2b to b2c big companies small companies. That adaptability is something else. It's like she's found some secret formula for success no matter what the industry, right? But let's rewind to the beginning Political science degree kind of interesting right not your typical starting point for marketing, right? Okay, then she goes and gets a global MBA, but with a focus on advertising you gotta wonder. You wouldn't think those fields would like naturally go together, but that combo it screams strong communication Analytical thinking being able to take complex stuff and make it make sense Those are valuable skills anywhere and she didn't just read about it in a textbook at dial corporation She wasn't just crunching numbers.

She was using data to find a whole new market for their personal care products Specifically men. There's a perfect example of spotting a trend before everyone else. She didn't just see it She built a case for it.

Like here's the raw data and here's what we do with it It makes you think have you ever had one of those moments in your own career? Where digging into the data revealed some hidden opportunity? Oh for sure makes you wonder what else we're all missing, huh? So we've got the analytical skills the communication and then BAM. She moves to Kellogg's You know the breakfast giant and that's where we see those skills turn into real-world wins Revamping a brand like Nutri Green. That's no small feat.

You need to understand consumer trends market positioning the competition It's a lot and then there's the launch of special cake cracker chips a whole new product category talk about adaptable, right? She doesn't shy away from the unknown whether it's breathing life into an old product or creating something totally new Mmm, and just when you think okay, she's a food industry pro boom curveball She joins spellbinders paper arts paper crafts. Seriously, right? It's a big leap, but it really drives home a key point about Mary's career transferable skills It may be a different world from breakfast cereal, but those core skills still super relevant total This is when e-commerce was taking off and Mary saw that spellbinders needed to adapt So she basically leads this whole revamp of their marketing shifting everything to digital and the results Wow They tripled online sales two years in a row. That's not just knowing digital marketing It's about spotting those big trends the things that are gonna change the game and then knowing how to turn that into a plan A real strategy makes you think how many other businesses, you know, the more traditional ones could use a little that forward Thinking especially now with how fast everything's going digital.

No question, but hold on even with this success in the creative world Mary doesn't stop Melaleuca a wellness company then Blue Diamond the almond people. It's amazing She's always looking for that next challenge that new industry and she's not just keeping things running She's pushing for innovation real change at Melaleuca It's consumer research digging deep which leads to new products plant-based hand sanitizer things like that Then at Blue Diamond she's part of expanding their whole product line get this they launched Blue Diamond protein powder Protein powder made from almonds shows you how she stays ahead of the game The demand for plant-based protein was growing and Mary helped make sure Blue Diamond was ready to jump on that It proves that really understanding what consumers want plus that knack for innovation It leads to some groundbreaking stuff, but it's more than just the products, right? It's this consistent thread throughout her whole career always learning always adapting always digging for new information new challenges Exactly. Remember those Google certifications she got that tells you everything she's committed to constantly learning growing professionally and In today's world that willingness to adapt to add new skills.

That's priceless Seriously, it makes you think right? It's like she looked at how things are changing and said, okay, how do I stay ahead? Not by sticking to one job title or one industry But by building this like this set of skills that works anywhere It's such a good point and so important for anyone listening It's easy to get stuck in your routine, but Mary's story reminds us to zoom out a little what are we good at? What makes us stand out and how can we use that in new ways exactly? Don't just list job titles show what you did what you learned like with Mary, right? We've got communication data analysis spotting those trends digital marketing innovation always learning That's like the ultimate toolkit for today's world, you know It really is and the best part is these skills they work everywhere marketing sure But anything else too if you can explain your ideas use data to make decisions keep up with the new stuff. That's gold So as we wrap up this deep dive, we want to leave you with this Take a page from Mary's book Think about your own strengths the things you're naturally good at don't be afraid to try using those skills in different ways in Industries, you never even thought about and remember it's all about the journey, right? Never stop learning take on new challenges keep building your skills go out there Embrace the unexpected and see what amazing things happen
